I don't think people who voted for the dems, a party that was an active, and in many way enthusiastic, particpant in a genocide are allowed to be smug or condenseding about anything ever

the problem w/the democratic party is that it's a center-right party that wants to maintain US imperialism abroad+internal systems of controlling/disciplining US citizens (+ who those citizens are, and expelling those that are not). they just want to do it by the rulebook. this is not an age issue.

age isn't the only issue with the democratic party. kamala harris, gavin newsom, and pete buttigieg are all quite younger than 82 and they also fucking suck.

i don't understand why so many people are so adamant that what ICE is doing is not the same as law enforcement. i disagree and i think a lot of the arguments ring very hollow, but more to the point: what's behind the desperate need to protect police legitimacy right now?

Dumb points all around, but just want to point out that democratic leaders are also perfectly fine with violence. Evidenced by the fact they overwhelmingly supported arming and defending Israel or cops cracking down on college campuses
The fact that Democratic leaders have essentially abdicated is going to create a political vacuum that will be filled by radicals who are not only less accommodating to Republicans, but likely also violent. It is essential that Democrats re-engage in this fight before it gets to that point.
