That would be very naive.
Anyone who votes GOP in the 2020s is someone whose answer to "Are rape and racism bad?" would be "Depends, do I like the guy who did it?"

It's painfully obvious that there is no way to make a factual documentary about Donald Trump that will meet with his or Leavitt's approval, because it would not be 100% positive.
Trump doesn't care about the truth; he wants to force the BBC to lie on his behalf.

A Congressional committee watched the whole hourlong speech multiple times and came to the conclusion that Trump was absolutely responsible for the violent riots on Jan 6th (whose culprits he went on to pardon).
If the edit led people to the same conclusion, I don't see how it could be misleading.

Honestly, it's completely insane that that's an elected position. That's like electing your bus driver, or your toaster.

I was initially willing to believe it might be a strategic move, but looking at the people who did it, I don't think it was.

Honestly, "uncultured" is a pretty mild description of Elon Musk's understanding of literature.

There are things I dislike about France, but the fact that you can just decide to be fancy and no one really questions it is not one of them.

I hope they also point out that, for a guy who supposedly opposed violence at Jan 6th, he sure did pardon a lot of violent Jan 6thers. And called them "hostages" the whole time they were in prison for the crimes that he supposedly did not approve of at all.

I guess they can always do a bad reboot, for the kind of people who complain whenever a villain or a monster is even slightly sympathetic, because they think all those movies were about how anything a bit ugly needs to be killed.

If you need something to be reliable, at all, you should not be leaving it up to the private sector, ever. The private sector should be for doing the stuff where there's no way to do it so badly that people die.

Who knew that "too big to fail" meant "should be nationalised fucking immediately", apart from literally everyone who isn't a politician apparently?

Eh, you could also look at similar situations in other similar countries. Like, London has had a left-wing Muslim mayor for 10+ years, and hasn't turned into a theocratic hellscape. Trump hates him too, btw.

Conservatives are used to the Cold War generations who grew up associating socialism with Russia and Russia with the threat of nuclear annihilation.
To everyone who *didn't* grow up with all that Cold War priming, it just sounds like socialism means "anything good we won't let you have".

I want to call it a false economy, but that would imply that anyone involved actually thinks this is saving money.
Market cap seems to have replaced actual money at this point.

Trump uses the courts as a prop in the media. He brought 60 suits over fake electoral fraud claims and lost all of them, but he didn't care, because it let him stand on the steps outside a court and lie and the media turned up to film it and dumb people treated it like it must be true.

It's cool that they're taking a moral stance, but this also kinda showcases how dishonest the anti-DEI shtick is.
The right-wing are having to create an artificial financial incentive to ditch DEI, because it clearly isn't profitable or beneficial to companies to do so of their own accord.

Honestly, if I were in that jury, I would decide the verdict like a minute in and then just keep everybody waiting to just be a dick.

I think people who have a sense of "I have enough money, i don't really need more" aren't likely to get into the position where they have to decide whether to turn down sponsors. Greed is a character flaw, it's not a rational drive - no one with a billion dollars thinks they *need* it to survive.
