Any anglo-norman people here who might be willing to help with a short translation?

Discussing children’s tv in the 80s with my husband, he said it was all so cold and bleak. It turns out he lived in a house with no central heating for the majority of the 80s.

Imposter syndrome hitting hard today. Is it possible to be good at more than one thing? Am I good at anything?

Why do black dogs look like dogs, but black cats look like the void in reality where a cat has been removed?

Entirely unintentional disaster stop in the Jura, which happens to be the most Studio Ghibli place I’ve ever been.

Continuing my exploration of Rusty Quill after finishing The Magnus Archives. I highly recommend Outliers for fellow lovers of Medieval and Early Modern historical fiction, and am currently half way through Cry Havoc, Ask Questions Later, tying in neatly with my recent Roman reading history.

@rustyquill.com having come to it very late I want to thank you for The Magnus Archives. I broke my foot in July and have been laid up unable to do much and listened to the entire TMA in 10 days when I would have otherwise been going insane with boredom. May have caused a different insanity though.

Having spent the afternoon at the Musée de Cluny I wanted to post something thoughtful about each picture, but I’m too tired so I’m going to photo-dump instead!

Does anyone have a suggestion for the best English edition of the Homeric Hymns?

I can’t help wondering what the correlation is between those organising VE day celebrations this week and those who voted for Reform last week.
