The key to tax isn’t - how much tax will people pay for xyz its if we print money ( as we did through covid) we have to tax to bring it back otherwise ( Gary’s economics) it will all end up in the hands of the wealthy & they will out bid us on assets - it has to be tax targeted at the wealthy.

The real constraint isn’t “there isn’t enough money” it’s. The resources available - so if there aren’t enough GP’s free GP visits fall at the first hurdle

Construction is expensive because we crash / destroy our capacity in the construction sector every 15 yrs to constrain inflation.

It’s a cheap shot by Winston after supporting the Reg stds bill to stop being turfed ( pun intended) out by his moderate voters & having to quickly get a win for his crazy base.

I think the collation is burning & he can see political doom - his feet should be held to the fire for both actions.

If Peters had any integrity he shouldn’t have voted for RSB regulatory standards Bill - but he didn’t - he enabled it - he supported it.
- If the Bill is bad enough to repeal it, he’s a co-conspirator - that’s on HIS head
- if that had brought down the government - an early election so be it
