So dang much to be thankful for on this incredible journey but waking up at home with my girls this morning is at the top of the list

QT is the biggest asshole in film. Reservoir Dogs doesn't exist without ripping off City on Fire and all of Kill Bill is stolen from Shaw Brothers films. His last several films all suck. Guy should have died after Jackie Brown; he'd be an ugly James Dean

There is a seriously shlubby young woman on our crew with round glasses who wears the same dirty knit cap every day and I just really want to ask her: Family Guy? Meg Griffin? Can't figure out if she's doing a bit

I absolutely loved this movie and strongly recommend that you also see it in 70mm if you have any opportunity to do so

To be fair I hated the back seat child alarm until I could disable it. Bitch there's plenty I do that my kids don't need to see. Kid is left there for their own good
Exclusive: Republicans plan to challenge vehicle-safety mandates, such as automatic emergency braking and alarms that remind drivers a child is in the back seat.
Senate Committee to Challenge Auto-Safety Mandates That Hurt ‘Affordability’
Republicans are questioning the value of some features, such as automatic braking and rear-seat reminders.

If I were a despotic president I would put Quentin and everything he's made post Kill Bill on a spaceship and launch it into the sun. Kill Bill itself would only be available as a single long film w a lengthy preroll explaining that it was stolen wholesale from the Shaw Brothers
If you were a despotic president, what movie would you force Hollywood to make? I want to see Quentin's Star Trek movie or maybe Kill Bill Vol 3.

Started a thing where I bought a book of essays for our 12yo. Every week she chooses one and we both read it privately. We then meet for coffee and spend a couple hours discussing it together. Might be the best thing I have done as a dad so far.

Sister took me to her boyfriend's house for Thanksgiving my Sophomore year of college, warned me not to drink w his Dad, a drunk. Threw back dozens of whiskeys w the old man then noisily banged the BF's younger sister w a glass eye upstairs. It was an awkward drive home.
yes, hello, I would like to place an order for everyone’s funniest stories of holiday food-related family grudges / drama / chaotic incidents / lore

I feel like we need this

Pulled the grumpy old bastard and will enjoy Thanksgiving home alone. Wife and kids will go to her parents where her Mom will cook badly and be nervous while the uncles grumble angrily about MAGA stuff. I'm home watching football and cooking for myself and I aint mad about it at all

Oh shit. Lloyds reopening after a long renovation three days before Thanksgiving with NO reservations, first come first served? Gonna be Thunderdome up in there

Browns fans going bonkers thinking Shadeur Sanders a lock for Canton based on one mediocre performance in a win against a historically awful team. My God I am going to enjoy their continued heartbreak as he flounders and fails

What's the dress code for being dragged screaming out your shattered car window by a ICE nazi because you happen to look latin?
Sean Duffy: "Dressing with respect -- whether it's a pair of jeans and a decent shirt, I would encourage people to maybe dress a little better which encourages us to maybe behave a little better. Let's try not to wear slippers and pajamas as we come to the airport."

He threw consecutive passes to the wrong spot on the field then to a spot that almost got his receiver killed. We will call that improvement on Winston's part
Feels like Jameis Winston is overdue for a stupid decision here

Going to Jose Andres new place tonight which I kind of hate because it's in Hudson Yards but I hope I'll love because Jose Andres and I'll eat a whole suckling pig

Know what I really love? The 12yo goes through my screening invites, responds to those she wants to attend and puts them on my calendar. Having a kid who shares your interests and is proactive about initiating them w you is about the best Dad thing ever. Gonna see Sinners in 70mm IMAX again, lovely

Went to the new Running Man largely because the director is a great guy. Fun movie, Michael Cera is great but they clearly never figured out the ending. Was a fun watch though

Watching Ken Burns on the American revolution and struck that Washington worked to convince troops they were Americans, not products of their regions. All these years later and when abroad I identify as a New Yorker more than as an American. That's unfortunate.

Last night I took the 12yo to a preview of Wicked w the cast and director. Tonight she's going to a Broadway show "With Lin". Yes, that Lin.

Wife's father is coming for Christmas visit w his granddaughters tomorrow and I cannot stand the prick. He's dumb enough to have gotten into Trump now that he moved on from the sovereign citizen bit. He gave my kid Rush Limbaugh children's books so I threw him out of my house. Frigging annoyed.
