We'll see what the decision of the High Court is in due course. But in any circumstances, the EHRC has behaved atrociously. If this code is laid in its current form, the UK will be in clear violation of trans people's human rights. It would be an international embarrassment, and Labour's legacy.

I've not worn heels since 1990 or a dress since the mid-noughties, and rarely wear makeup. I'm fully expecting some gendercrit to question my right to be in one of their sacred "women-only spaces."

So it’s all based on what sex you are perceived to be, which may have nothing to do with your sex at birth, your sex now, the sex on documents etc etc. So after all this, sex doesn’t actually matter, a random person’s hasty opinion is what matters. Fuck’s sake this gets stupider by the day.

Wonder how the Times got its hands on a copy of a code only the EHRC and government have seen...

No wonder even BP is not laying this down; if true it is more of an abuse of human rights than the interim. I’ve got to hand it to the Baroness, I thought she had already sunk to about as stupid as you can get, but somehow she has found a way to surpass even that!

Let’s say the quiet part - or any woman the TERFs don’t think fits their ideal of what a woman should look like.

"But it says that if there is “genuine concern about the accuracy of the response” it may be proportionate to exclude a transgender person anyway."

"The guidance said that if transgender people are excluded from a space, organisations should consider whether there is a suitable alternative for them and that it would not be proportionate to leave them without essential services, such as access to lavatories."
