Yes, the crazy gun laws in the US are one of the reasons I am not drawn to working in the US. Healthcare is another one as is lack of social security. And ICE yet another one. I wonder what is meant with making America great again: Address any of these issues?

Nothing will stop them. Lots of children sick from the flu in Japan, UK and Spain. Normal is more important to them.

A fit factor of 300 is enough for me. But I am avoid people anyway because of all the mask shaming here (the Netherlands).

Dat risico is dus heel moeilijk in te schatten. Mensen die niet aan preventie doen, worden niet elke keer ziek, maar dat is vooral omdat hun eerdere infecties tijdelijke immuniteit geven. Als je naar de infectieradar kijkt, lijken ouderen minder vaak ziek te worden. Dat wijst op minder contact.

The ones with the red straps are really expensive. I don't go to very high risk settings often, so I tend to use the blue straps.

What's so striking to me how obnoxious people are when you suggest them to wear a mask to protect the people around them. It is only when you share indoor air and only during flu season. It really is not the end of the world.

And he is using two standards: One for vaccine deaths (a tragedy, and for certain the vaccine caused it), and Covid deaths (these kids were vulnerable anyway, and probably they died with and not from Covid).

Ofwel: De kans dat er tenminste 1 persoon besmettelijk is, is 100- 1.37% = 98%. Dat betekent niet automatisch dat je ziek wordt. Je immuniteit kan goed zijn. Die persoon is mogelijk niet heel besmettelijk. De ventilatie kan goed zijn. Je bent er mogelijk niet lang genoeg voor een besmetting.

Wat maakt het nu uit wat die andere mensen in de supermarkt van je denken? Die zullen je echt niet komen verzorgen als je hulp nodig hebt.

Je slaat jezelf voor de kop als je met griep in het ziekenhuis belandt of langdurige Covid ontwikkelt van een kort bezoekje aan de supermarkt.

Ja, en dan hangt er weer vanaf of er net iemand is geweest die superbesmettelijk was, en hoe goed je eigen immuniteit op dat moment was. Ik ga voor zeker en zet gewoon voor het naar binnen gaan een FFP2 masker op. Kost me misschien een halve minuut tijd.
