Love this
Sunday President diarrheas on the country, Monday President bulldozes White House, Tuesday President steals $230 million, Wednesday President... fucks a horse? Let's see if he fucks a horse.

This just seems a bit sad...
It's official: Melbourne is home to the world's 14th best burger
And I had to line up for more than an hour to get my hands on it.

For as long as I can remember, Star Trek has been equal parts escape, inspiration, and guidance for me. "The Arsenal of Freedom," a TNG Season 1 episode, was my trans realization moment at 5 years old. When I was little, I would tell people I want to make Star Trek real when I grew up -

Well worth the read: a report on contemporary dance and censorship in Viktor Orbán's right wing Hungary, where independent artists are struggling to survive. A situation unsettlingly parallel with what is happening in Australia.

The city of open wounds - Shifting the arts
It was actually an inspiring few days in the Hungarian capital: invited by Lena Megyeri, a dance writer living in Budapest, I gained an insight into the deeper layers of the independent scene in Budap...

So fucking true...
Folds: If we’ve been told our whole lives that we can’t spend money on the arts because they’re not important—then why was taking over the Kennedy Center and the arts the first thing they did?

It is extremely important. It’s the bedrock of self-expression.

Thank you for sharing @anatolitis.bsky.social . Vale Race Mathews. A rare politician who understood the arts. My condolences to Race's family, especially Jane who was a close friend of mine when we were younger.
Saddened to learn of the death of Race Matthews, one of the greatest champions of art and democracy Australia has known. As arts minister he established the Melbourne Writers Festival—opening tomorrow night—as well as Spoleto (the Melbourne Festival/Rising), and Arts Centre Melbourne. Rest in power.
