Centrists would have condemned slave rebellions and concentration camp uprisings too. “Political violence isn’t the answer” applies when we’re discussing tax policy, not when discussing whether somebody with dark skin counts as human.

I’m glad such a stupid article is getting mocked for calling vacations “micro-retirements”.
The article complains vacations happen every 12-18 months. That’s an insanely long time to work without leisure. Workers should be able to comfortably take 1-2 weeks off work every quarter.

In the 1940s, the Taft-Hartley Act was passed. This banned sympathy strikes and boycotts, allowed employers to use paid work time to campaign against unionization, ended wildcat strikes, and created right-to-work laws. Yet, this served to do more than just weaken a union's ability to strike. 🧵
