Thanks to Donald Trump, we have corrections like “the baby was exposed to pepper spray, not tear gas.” Fucking monsters.
The @chicagotribune.com has updated its story to clarify that the baby was exposed to pepper spray, not tear gas
Shots fired at immigration agents in Little Village as residents confront Bovino, Border Patrol, authorities say
Community members once again confronted a convoy of Border Patrol agents led by Cmdr. Gregory Bovino as it moved through Chicago’s South Side neighborhoods.

Life situations are bleak right now for a lot of people. In tech, the "Venn Diagram" of (1) positive work and (2) making enough money to support your family is increasingly non-overlapping. We all do what we can.

Not really an overstatement to say that the test of a free society is whether or not comedians can make fun of the country's leader on TV without repurcussions.

To my fellow cishet dudes: when we are quiet about supporting the trans community, the only voices anyone hears are the Charlie Kirks of the world. Don't let accusations of being "performative" or "virtue signaling" shut you up - that's their whole point. Our voices are needed now more than ever.

You should care about homeless ppl b/c they are ppl, and most folks are closer to living outside than they are to being a billionaire.
But if that's not enough, care about them b/c how gov't treats them says volumes abt us.
Care b/c the cruelty won't stop with homeless folks.

The "oh you won't compromise and abandon [marginalized group]? enjoy the nazi takeover!" argument rings pretty fucking false when you consider that the horrors of a nazi takeover begin with the abandonment of marginalized groups.

when RFK says he wants to “end chronic disease,” what people hear is “he wants to cure us” but what he means is “i want to cull the weak”
Republicans are waging a generalized war on science, but I think many of them don’t fully grok that RFK isn’t at war with science alone or per se: he’s at war with sick people, and of the view that only the lucky should be allowed to survive into old age. They are know nothings, he is Mengele.
RFK Jr. has now officially stated that he will dismantle the United States Preventive ServicesTask Force (USPSTF).

There are only two paths forward for America: fascism for all of us, or fascism for none of us.
Some of you are deluding yourselves into believing that the US can ever return to a state of "Fascism, but just for Black dudes! 🤣" AKA centrism.
But that will not happen.
The spell is broken.

The new HHS secretary has made baseless claims that the drugs are addictive and cause violent behavior.

We as an industry need to take a hard look in the mirror.
Yes, young people think they’re invincible.
But after 15 years in tech I can say without a doubt that “move fast and break things” has had horrific consequences on accountability.
