I was told that my job applications letters look ass, so I added a transparent image of my fucking car at a meet.
I also put this shit on my CV because if they ask me what it is, I can tell them that it is the car I need to fix with money earned through hard and good work.

All of that was truly worth the 31h trip back home, including losing some parts from the car and nearly causing a crash. But lol, nobody was harmed so it's funny, right? (car is fixed again btw, ~40€ of parts was enough)
Tl;Dr : go make or help cons. You WILL be tired, but proud like hell. 4/4

I am proud of my work, as I am proud of the work of my team members and other teams. Each con is thousands of hours in work. From concepts, to debates, planning, accounting, recruiting, artworks, ordering... I am lucky to be in a spot where my work is visible to many and apparently liked. 2/4

Being Con Staff has its downsides, like not seeing the people and panels as much.
HOWEVER, after months of PR work, helping with the charity auction and doing a side-task here and there... I can say there is no such bliss as seeing it happen IRL and now reading positive comments on @galacon.eu 1/4
