At an even more basic level, the primary problem with data centers is heat, heat which is extra hard to get rid of in a vacuum. So even if you solve all the engineering the thermodynamics will stop you.

If your threshold for "not evil" requires not funding the US military at all then you're going to need to find a different country's politics to follow. That is something thats going to keep happening for a while.

Its less a case of "dems gratuitously abandoning trans folks" than "dems dont want to pick a fight over funding the military over a small if shitty part of the bill." Im not happy about it either but we shouldn't overstate stuff like this.

Because they are under the impression that left/ right is single spectrum and see that Europe has universal Healthcare systems and assume everything else is also uniformly left shifted.
