update: the shelter refilled the soap dispensers but it looks like they diluted whatever they put in there. the soap doesn’t lather and it’s drying out faster than usual. isopropyl alcohol is NOT soap and it already makes our hands crack and bleed.

i can’t begin to explain how much ear plugs and a diy eye mask (pretty sure staff stole the previous eye mask as some of them have seemed annoyed when we sleep in after lights on because they see exhaustion and recovery as laziness when they have to show up to work) have improved my quality of life.
