Deplatforming doesn’t stop the far right because they’re a marginal group anyway who only has power when the ultra wealthy needs them as hired thugs. Trying to take them off of platforms owned by their backers is a fool’s errand.

Really surreal to see the primary weapon of war being an off-the-shelf consumer DJI drone with a grenade dropper strapped to it. Like, it makes sense, but it’s bizarre seeing the screen interface of what’s basically a toy.

David Harvey had a good critique of Piketty. It’s over a decade old but he makes the point (from what I remember reading it in full years ago) that Piketty can identify the material reality but couldn’t diagnose the cause and therefore couldn’t offer a realistic alternative.
