Real estate in Florida is completely worthless

Any executive working those kinds of hours is nothing but a control freak who has no trust in his staff and is unable to delegate. Ultimately he will collapse as will the entire disempowered and ultimately weakened organization under him.

(understood the joke)

I keep Atlético de Madrid in La Liga as backup pain to Chelsea when I can’t get enough. As well as openly-socialist St. Pauli in the Bundesliga who are a lot of fun when they’re not relegated

Stagnant sales and missed targets, which is death for retailers, and share price down 35% this year on top of a 22% decline after conservative activists lit up their boycott last year. So what are Target’s chances of survival in this boycott crossfire? The field will be left to Walmart and Amazon.

I meant on the pitch, but it seems you’re very selective in your football suffering
November 29, 2025 at 10:07 PM
Been over a year of financials that shows otherwise. The bad performance was manipulated by conservative groups. But you’re suggesting that the motive for boycotting Target is to help bolster their defense against the shareholder fraud lawsuits? I thought it was simple abandonment.

I don’t understand this unnecessary, perpetual, predictable, self-inflicted kind of pain. Any allegiances outside of EPL?
November 29, 2025 at 10:00 PM
Stop boycotting because they are a hostage, not a collaborator, and because the boycott only does the work of the regime while we’ve turned our backs on a past friend and possibly future, once again, ally.

It would help Target's case except Target can't talk about it; the point of the suits is that Target was silenced immediately after the president issued his exec order banning DEI and DoJ announced criminal prosecutions. Nor can they restore DEI. It's not about the money, it's about the politics.
November 29, 2025 at 9:03 PM
Target? Or Home Depot? If Target, fine, I didn't see that.

If we're using Chicago as a consideration, we also need to boycott every company that's based in Texas which sent their NG against us: American Airlines, Southwest Airlines, ExxonMobil, AT&T, 7-Eleven, Maggianos, long long list.

These are politically-motivated shareholder lawsuits by government pensions backed by regime-friendly elected officials.
November 29, 2025 at 7:45 PM
They have multiple active shareholder lawsuits against them, and CANNOT comment on any of this. They are completely backed into a corner.

Again, see the part of the thread that starts with this
Yes, consumers have the right to shop anywhere they want. No, Target has not commented publicly or reversed their decision under active and persistent threat from the Department of Justice that if they do either, the DoJ will bring a host of federal civil compliance discrimination charges 16/

You're not going to hurt them, we won't let you; now we're going to bring them even MORE business at the expense of the other companies that did enable your regime to take power. The regime can just fuck off all the way off."

So please tell me, what the fuck are we doing with this.

What would have happened instead, when Target was threatened by all of this, the reaction was "we stand in solidarity with the company that has done more than any other retailer to help our communities. 23/
November 29, 2025 at 7:29 PM
Target isn't standing 10 toes deep with the regime. We're shooting the hostage ourselves. The regime doesn't have to do one more thing here. We're doing it for them. 22/
November 29, 2025 at 7:29 PM
The continued organized boycott of Target has no practical outcome other than carrying water for the people and ideas we say we oppose, and serves as template for any future action the regime chooses to take. 21/
November 29, 2025 at 7:28 PM
What everyone did do is deflect impotent rage that should have been pointed at the regime, instead against an ally which is being held hostage by that regime. 20/
November 29, 2025 at 7:28 PM
If Target did not submit they would not be in business right now. And frankly, if we want to say they surrendered, we must say the entire movement surrendered, because no one--and I mean no one--came to back them up. No one stood in support or solidarity with them. No one. 19/
