making this was a flatout 1-week sprint. no idea when or if the opportunity to use UV riso ink will ever appear again.
i'm really pleased with it—i had no idea if areas w/ layers of different density UV would be legible but they printed exactly as hoped.

dang, i just shared the UV reprint of Chamber, and i'm now like 90% of the way done turning around a new zine meant to take advantage of the experimental UV riso ink, and so much has been going on that i completely forgot to share pictures of the furry indulgence zine i literally just finished!

...so now Chamber gets a second life with mist substituted for black and UV replacing the gold on matte black. the original run on reflective paper w/ metallic gold was unphotographable—pretty much every picture i took was fried. the UV is only slightly less bad. you get the idea though.

originally drawn to be riso-printed w/ black & metallic gold on an uncoated metallic black paper, i truly didn't expect to be able to reprint this so soon—the gold ink ran out & isn't getting replaced, so i thought the 50 copies i got was it. then a drum of experimental UV ink arrived...

a zine i finished late this past summer got reprinted! and in a format that in part actually permits it to be shared digitally!

with more precise measurements so the wheel on top can make a full revolution, one could do some fun stuff with this. ballroom for paper dolls? orrery? idk.
just needed to see if it was possible. who knows if i'll ever come back to this—it's not a particularly practical design.

i suspect there are many social tensions that could be mitigated if the treachery of images was better and more widely understood—that is, if it was more widely recognized that all representations are abstractions and even the most literal "meaning" discerned in a representation is a projection.
