Antonio Inoki once had a match with Masa Saito on Ganryujima Island. It lasted over two hours; a lot of that was Inoki sitting around. This isn't my area of expertise, but it had something to do with an old samurai battle and Inoki was emulating that samurai's delay in joining battle.
