We very nearly didn't get one at all one year - the WHOLE day driving through blizzards. Very picturesque, but. Also once I was on my own I could come to terms with the fact I'm allergic to pine & an artificial tree didn't actually cause lightening bolts to strike me!

I used to do that - married into a very traditional family. Made for quite a stressful Christmas Eve tbh.

Yup - you just can't beat The Highlands. Bloody love them. We have visiting Ireland on our list, mind! My ex-mil was Wicklow and A has the Irish - passport & everything, lucky thing.

Yeah - I've recovered from my broken ankle but it was bloody annoying. So many restrictions. And then the injuries from finding ways round the restrictions!!! Alistair is being very strict with me now he's here while I get those sorted.

I'm south of the Green Welly, but it's only 100 miles which is nothing really. Here has a different, softer beauty, especially looking out over the Cheviots. My pal @angieandwesties.bsky.social has the BEST view from her cottage.

I got given a charger & spare battery by the AA man as a Christmas present! Said it was worth it for saving the many 6am calls. I used to go out at 6 to see if it would start, make the call, then get bathed, dressed etc for work & he'd have me on the road with a warm car by 7:30. Ace service.

Ha! Similar to my mini in that you would never go anywhere without WD40, duct tape, the Haynes manual, screwdriver & spanner and a blanket.

I loved the Polski Fiat! An ex-lover in Warsaw had one - 6"5' and he had to remove the back seats so he could drive it. Was very funny. He didn't think so. Ooops.
