Sadly I think, especially with syfy shows, reference books are a thing of the past. Who and Trek are maybe the only ones that get them any more. I think the last one outside of those two that got them was X-Files/Farscape era.

It's one of a very small number of shows that, yes, I would like amnesia and be able to see fresh. But at least on rewatches I can look at the shelves and background (and the pecs) and see all the things I missed first time whilst concentrating on the plot.

pair o docs). Oh and it's actually Clara who told the Hartnell doc which TARDIS to steal which wipes out 'that' story from series 6 as well (paradox/lies/idiocy) AND in two stories time we'll (of course) find out that the Doctor doesn't actually die on Trenzalore anyway, the TARDIS is never left

(so does this mean the Intelligence even ever went to Trenzalore?) (paradox) before the Doctor tosses himself into the crack so he can turn up in a cave with his past selves running around before stepping out into the open air in an unfilmed bit because Smith had a dodgy knee (I bet he saw a

totally pointless then. Anyway, River isn't dead but is dead and it's spoilers as to how (oh ffs). The Great Intelligence jumps into the Doctor's timeline after River uttered the Doctor's real name (we never have found out when or why she found it out) to let him into a giant police box with a

to latch on to by now. A much better radio host than in Fearmonger, lots of long speeches and info dumps... this is one of those experimental stories in terms of structure BUT it's one of the more successful ones. Worth doing at least once to hear the narrative structure. 7/10
