Fish in a jaunty boater.
That sounds too passive. It's not like usage naturally changed on its own. It was intentionally co-opted.

I think a 50/50 split on songwriting credits is in order. We'll get Weird Al's lawyer to iron out the details - he's good on this. Obviously gross not net and I'll see you at the Grammys.

I thought the Trump administration was lying about the ship flying a false flag in order to justify the seizure. It wouldn't even be the first lie this week about naval actions.

But apparently the ship WAS flying a false flag, so I stand corrected.

Although another poster just showed me that the ship was flying a false flag, so I was wrong about this. All I saw was an anonymous Trump admin official leaking to the NYT, so I thought it was suspiciously convenient. But again, I was wrong.

Thank you for this. I'll be damned, they did something legally. (And I was dead-ass wrong.)

I just mean I'm skeptical of the claim.
December 11, 2025 at 5:12 AM
I'm skeptical of this, is all I'm saying. And as your initial post said, that's fine.
December 11, 2025 at 5:10 AM
I'm sorry, I wasn't clear. I understand the legal principle, but I don't necessarily trust the word of "a US official with knowledge of the seizure" from the Trump administration. It seems odd that the apparent entire legal basis for the seizure is being leaked anonymously.

So is this the naval equivalent of a cop claiming a guy he killed had a gun?

This isn't speaking to a dead grandma. This is speaking to a phone dressing up as a dead grandma like a digital Norman Bates if Norman Bates was trying to con a subscription service out of grieving families instead of running a hotel.

The Acme Gag Catalog that came with the "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" Commodore 64 game. Duh.

In fairness, two people raised a kid without ChatGPT and fucked it up so bad they got Sam Altman.

Ask yourself: Do you want to spend winter pretending to be some sort of medieval Christian peasant whose only entertainment consists of dragging some poor sapling into your hovel?

Or do you want to fight the Kraken?

I once saw a guy with "Untouchable" tattooed down one arm and "Unstoppable" down the other, but he was wearing a T-shirt so it just said "Ouchable" and "Toppable."

It's been around for several years at least. It evolved from the Flashback segments. A friend of mine is the photo editor for it. She actually digitizes the original digital plates in the Trib's archives, so a lot of the photos never ran back then. First time anyone is every seeing a lot of the pix!
