Since WA allegedly knows what's best for kids, overriding parental rights, what happens if a straight kid rejects a parent's attempts to gaslight them into identifying as trans? Will the State step in, take custody, and prevent parental interference?

Seems like this might not have been so likely to occur in the UK if the populace had not willingly disarmed and surrendered to the State with the expectation of adequate protection.

Someone who wants to do a bad thing is going to do a bad thing with whatever is available to them to do it. If you take one thing away, they will use something else. Bad people do not throw up their hands and say 'aw shucks the weapon I wanted is banned here so I guess I'll go home'.

(2/2) Accepting the 0.005% of bad people is an unfortunate but necessary compromise to ensure the continued existence of a nation.

I would also point out that, based on how things have gone in places in the US with stricter gun controls, gun crime would actually increase, not decrease, since the bad guys will be armed without fear knowing the good guys are disarmed and can't shoot back. Criminals will not turn in their guns.
