Trumps demand that Canada open its markets to American dairy is interesting. The data is clear, American dairy is less healthy and doesn’t meet Canadian regulatory requirements. So this is actually a sovereignty battle.

I can't imagine being an American (let alone one of the almost 40% who self-identify as "non-white") reading your new National Security Strategy, realizing that your country HATES AND FEARS anyone who isn't white ... isn't like you ... and realizing selfish self interest is now state policy.

How long before we see a new alliance among the remaining democracies focused on countering Trump's NSS? Like a mafia boss, he's declaring he owns the "western hemesphere". Presumably he's leaving Putin and the other bosses to fight over what's left.

Ok, honestly there was no chance I was going to watch any of the World Cup anyway, but FIFA verifying how currupt they are by giving Trump a silly vanity award ... really just icing on the "nope ... no chance" cake.

Turning the other cheek always struck me as stupid. Why would you give someone another free shot? Today, I see differently. What if they reacted thoughtlessly in anger? What if remaining calm and inviting them to try again gives them what they need to step up and do better?

Just read an opinion piece published by the CBC asking what America's goal is with Venezuela. After much questing, the piece concludes ... it's all about glorifying Trump. As if we didn't already know that. Trump is desperate to look like a President rather than a rapist pedophile felon.
