Oh nooooo! I missed this 😭

Good luck on the beta test!

haha I thought you might be, but since you were only running a few I thought just maybe

Nothing wrong with using them btw, I just get excited when I see them out in the wild. I'm slowly collecting them all but Arceus may be unobtainable (I have darkrai&manaphy)

Thanks for running them! Very cool!

Do you have an Arceus distro card!?! One of my grails but they are crazy crazy crazy expensive 😭

Also I love all your signs! I made some stuff like that for open sauce but yours capture the aesthetic way better

tysm!! The extra $2k hurts my wallet a bit but I'll make it work. Mainly felt like everyone deserved a detailed account of why they were going to get less chips than my initial projection.

IIRC I said it would be ~8 chips per 10 but I really wanted to over-deliver not the other way around

Oh no, we are going to be bidding again each other in the coming years it seems

Slow and steady wins the race friendo. I'd rather have 10 Cilerba videos over the next 10 years than 2 in the next month then nothing because you burnt out.

Gotta take care of yourself first

lol bluesky's auto scaling is not doing this image any kindness

If you can find an existing PCB design somewhere then yeah it’s “just” ordering it from PCBWay/JLCPCB and moving the parts over (this is actually fairly challenging but doable)

If you can’t find one then it’s _much_ harder because you have to hand solder hair thin wires everywhere that is corroded
October 13, 2025 at 8:05 PM
Responded in the other thread! It might be salvageable but it would probably better serve as a parts donor to repair other Pokewalkers
October 13, 2025 at 7:24 PM
Honestly it’s in rough enough shape that a PCB swap is probably easier than repair but I haven’t seen anyone make a replacement PCB for the Pokewalker yet
October 13, 2025 at 7:02 PM
Most likely it’s repairable yeah but there is a lot of damage on this PCB. Anyone with the skill to do it would likely charge more than it costs to just get a replacement. It could be a fun project if you wanted to learn soldering though.

Very glad I never got into that app lmao
October 13, 2025 at 6:45 PM
wtf it’s going to be impossible to avoid that one
October 13, 2025 at 6:39 PM
Huh?!?
October 13, 2025 at 6:34 PM
TBH that looks like quite a bit of water damage to me. That white square should have a pink pattern on it (it changes color once it gets wet) and the PCB is showing signs of damage
October 13, 2025 at 5:25 PM
Hmmm, yeah assuming the battery was brand new and installed in the correct orientation then it’s probably something internal.

Maybe something like a solder joint that disconnected over time but I’m not really able to say more than that without looking at the PCB

There are open seats near me! You can probably make it if you run

This was my first swing at a major video editing project, I hope yall like it

Shoutout to @kotatsuinunova.standingintheodds.com for the amazing thumbnail!
