I've received my first @hacktoberfest.com t-shirt in years. While @digitalocean.com and @mlhacks.bsky.social are for-profit companies, that doesn’t negate the fact that #Hacktoberfest energizes the open-source community, particularly among younger contributors.

My dream house in Minecraft.

7 years ago, I launched "a podcast about tech side projects and the people who make them" with my buddy and mentor, Will Blew. It was scary and challenging but so much fun.

I look forward to more experiences in the future. I've done big things before and want to do even bigger things in 2025.

It had features such as logging fuel and mileage, tracking services like oil changes, getting recalls, engine and transmission info, etc. I had a lot of plans for the future like tying it into other motor vehicle related apps.

My 3-day weekend project is moving along. I was suppose to "complete" it on Sunday but considering I didn't even start it until Monday... that wasn't going to happen.
