I don’t have a photo with my degree but if I did, it would probably look like this.

This gov't does not deserve any of the good art anymore, so here's a stupidly drawn cat flipping the bird at our Premier. #abpoli

The narrative that we are being sold that our children's safety is somehow threatened by trans people participating in all aspects of public life as their authentic selves is the exact same bullshit that was peddled about queer folks 30 years ago. It was a lie then and it's a lie now.

Trans rights are human rights, even if Alberta is using the notwithstanding clause yet again to try and claim otherwise.

When I grow up, I want to be less hurty and tired and more retired.

Local woman wakes up, does a recall of the recall act because they were recalling her oatmeal friends, makes oatmeal.

Neighbourhood redevelopment currently includes big piles of dirt where the soccer field and gravel parking lot used to be on the west side of Borden park, plus some housing stuff on our street. Dolly (and some neighbours) are kinda grumpy about it all.

Love it when some men think that women with degrees aren't hot, like it's cute that you think we give a fuck about that.
POV: you are a young woman celebrating a recent academic success

I like it when people try to fight with me about public libraries and I can librarysplain them. Is this what the longtime baseball fans felt like sportsplaining stuff to the new fans during the world series?

It’s my birthday so I’m having waffles and partying like it’s 1983.

Jeff made Jenny friendly tiramisu and it’s a bit more pudding than cake but so was the best ever tiramisu that I ate in Naples in 1998 and so that is a compliment, not a criticism.

I haven’t done anything creative since the pompom skirt last November, maybe I’ll make something again in 3 years.

Forget 24 hour libraries, I want library branches (open normal hours) with social workers, nurses, and psychologists on staff.

We Rate Dogs is one of the very few social media empires that I love. The joy of daily dogs, the money raised to help sick and injured dogs, the allyship of pro rainbow and anti cop dogs, it's all there.
WeRateDogs turns 10 years old today! A very silly idea to numerically objectify dogs has become one of the kindest and most powerful online communities ever. Thank you for joining us over the last decade. I never knew what this could be until you all showed me. Here's to many more good dogs ❤️

Watching disabled people around the world mourn Alice is a reminder of the good aspect of the internet. 30 years ago, few people outside of SF would ever have known Alice existed. I never would have met her. The internet connected us all. Let’s honor Alice’s memory by using that power and community.
My social media is wall-to-wall love for the incomparable Alice Wong, and I need more words. What captures sadness and/also affection for a community that knows what's been lost?
Alice could not eat food for years.

And yet at Christmas she would bake cookies and mail them to me—such was her desire to provide care for the people she loved.

💔 Alice Wong’s last words: “Don’t let the bastards grind you down.”

We can never thank Alice enough for fighting all the good fights and especially all the hard fights. We all learned so much from your brilliance, your courage, and your indefatigable leadership. We will never forget you.

Local woman wakes up, sends her love and respect to the chronic illness and disabled communities who are mourning the loss of amazing advocates both this week and the last few years and who keep fighting an unjust and inaccessible world, makes oatmeal.

Our beloved Alice Wong has joined the ancestors. It was one of the great honors of my life to call Alice my friend, co-author & co-conspirator. She was a true genius, a force of nature the likes of which the world has never seen before. I love you, Alice, and am equal parts grateful and devastated
