This month, the FCC held its first Diplomatic Cocktail with Morgan Davis as President. In her new role, Davis delivered the welcoming speech, noting that events like these are a unique perk of becoming a Correspondent or Journalist member. A total of 49 consular representatives were in attendance.

After the bill was voted down, the FCC held a Club Lunch featuring the Co-Founder of Hong Kong Marriage Equality & Consuls General from Ireland, Thailand & Mexico - three countries that have legalised same-sex marriage - to discuss the current state of marriage equality across the world in 2025.

Earlier this year, the FCC hosted a Club Lunch to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the end of the war with a panel of correspondents & other notable FCC members who witnessed the conflict firsthand.

During the war, the FCC became a hotspot for journalists, as did Saigon, the former capital of South Vietnam where correspondents were free to live & work. Many of the war’s iconic photographs, including the last helicopter out of Saigon, were taken by FCC members.

The Vietnam War ended on April 30, 1975, just over 50 years ago. Spanning nearly two decades & resulting in a loss of over a million lives, it was one of the longest & deadliest conflicts in history.
