Sure, we may not be #GRAMMY winning artists.

But we also want our voices to be heard.

It’s driving me a little insane to see all this “protester” lingo.
Like yea there are protests..

But if masked, armed thugs invade your neighborhood and terrorize your community, standing against that is not “protesting”.

That’s an attempt to maintain safety. The government made itself the danger.

Oh, and
4. Despite the demand for proportional representation from Labour members, Starmer won't change
our ridiculous First Past the Post system. So he's in no position to blame anyone for "splitting the vote".

We don't know who will win in Gorton and Denton. But we can be almost certain that:

- The next MP will have received a small minority of the vote, likely under 1/3.

- Thousands will vote tactically and not for who they actually want.

This is not what democracy should look like.

So we've had six Prime Ministers in the past decade and rumours keep swirling about a 7th one on the horizon.

And yet people who should know better are still telling us that First Past the Post leads to political stability.

Were you living in a cave or what? 🤦🏻‍♀️

Countries with PR systems report a higher level of voter trust and of voter turnout than in the UK."

We need to talk about the rise of "smol bean fascism" where you have all the guns and the immunity but the really scary people are the ones with whistles and phone cameras and they're giving you generational trauma and ptsd by filming you killing people for no reason

Thank you to everyone who took part.

It’s something I feel pretty strongly about, so absolutely added to the list.

Just saying @carolinerussell.bsky.social is ace. The effort & genuine care she shows in horrific circumstances like these...
Compare to the endemic inaction at roads like this, the shrugged shoulders at junctions like the ones that bookend this road, despite clear patterns of collisions, the idea...
I met people in Hackney who are calling for safer streets.

Kenworthy Road is a place where people live and children go to school but the roads are still hostile and filled with fast traffic.

Mrs Murphy died here in 2009 and Harry Webb was killed in 2023, and yet nothing has really changed.

It's not radical to think every vote should count.

It's not radical to think every constituency should matter.

It's not radical to think 34% of the vote is not a landslide.

It's not radical to want to vote for the party you truly support.

It's common sense. #PRnow

In other countries, leasehold at peppercorn rents is used to lower the cost of housing. The problem in the UK is land and leases are an asset class rather than public goods or a policy instrument to create places to live.
