Would it be nice if they interacted again? Of course! Do I think it'll happen any time soon? No. Do I NEED it the way the interactions crowd need it to feel (& tell themselves) their ship is valid? Of course not. I got fed on 4.x & I can live off that for years bc this is not baby's first fandom.

It's actually crazy how neutered their characters become in these cases like I know hyv shouldn't put major lore in limited events but at the same time what they do now is the most blandly undercooked and underseasoned nothing of a character, like cool, look at nothing happen, yet again

Exactly. This is why I enjoy writing fic. I wouldn't do it if I felt like I got what I wanted from canon & I'm certainly not getting it from a game where once the character is sold, any future development is negligible bc they've already made their money. Canon is merely a starting point.
