Again I feel this is strongly down to the UI/UX, the natural language model means that people are willing to extend a huge amount of cognitive dissonance towards it

It's not that it's any better, it's that people feel less bad

But then this loops back to when its pretending it can do things it cannot people get even angrier because they've essentially been lied to

And if there's one thing we know about people in general, it's that we don't like being told that we're possibly partly to blame for a problem and or that we are the ones who have to fix a problem

Existing UIs and UX have a very boolean (or boolean-like) states: Success, In Progress, Failed

Failure states also infer responsibility on a party

ChatGPT etc all hide this behind dynamic lines of text which also seem to 'take responsibility' for failures
