One way concentration camps become zones where law doesn't apply is by neglecting policies & standards that would protect health & provide healthcare. You deny laws & norms & dehumanize your victim.

Two tuberculosis cases detected at Camp East Montana ICE facility
Eighteen cases of COVID-19 were also identified. U.S. Rep. Veronica Escobar on Friday visited the 5,000-bed tent facility on the Fort Bliss Army base and said she saw many "chronic issues."

Russia’s full-scale invasion began 4 years ago. It began in winter, and so this winter is the 5th. And, for civilians, the worst. Russia launches missiles and drones at energy infrastructure to force Ukrainians to endure the freezing cold. Here's how you can help

Had to read some Goodson for the 100th BHM. This is dated, of course, but the overall these that US education perpetuates white narcissism isn't for me to determine.

I'm not going to share the image. It's already gotten far too much exposure. It's beneath the dignity of an 8 year old with half a lick of sense, let alone the *President of the United States *.

I think you know the answer. The “negotiations” have been an excuse to hold back necessary equipment and aid.
I am a Ukrainian Nobel Peace Prize Laureate. I have a question.

Why has Trump's year of negotiations been the deadliest for civilians in Ukraine since the full-scale invasion? The number of deaths and injuries has increased by 31 percent compared to the previous year.

Peter Thiel has been open about this for a long time. Trump is a way to break the republic, which can then be replaced by “free economic zones” with oligarchs as dictators and tech as a taskmaster for helpless humans without any rights. (1/2)
Definitely seems like they destroyed the country on purpose.

In Springfield, Ohio, people are preparing in advance of a “large deportation” promised by the president. To all appearances, the city is 2 or 3 days from a federal ethnic cleansing, grounded in a hate campaign organized by the vice-president and American Nazis.

This book will piss you off. An inside look at being on the receiving end of legal persecution and targeted counter-intelligence. Some details are omitted by necessity; her death in Cuba in '25 may allow gaps to be filled.

Getting the impression that ICE is gearing up for a pogrom in Springfield, Ohio, which was ground zero of Vance’s lies about Haitians during the campaign. Haitians lose temporary protected status on February 3rd. Reporters, lawyers, neighbors — please get ready.

Frankenhooker (1990)
What makes a movie become a true film? Frank Henenlotter knows, and he puts it on screen.

Okay, forgive me for this one but I love Frankenhooker. Its the perfect amount of schlock and horror. Really, the plot's in the title.

Who else has seen this one?
Any love?

An interesting examination of King Phillip's War, its major events, and historiography. I would keep a timeline handy, and maybe a map.

I appreciate those out there protesting at great risk to their lives however i think the nation needs to grind this economy to a dead stop.
It's something everyone can do safely. No spending on ANYTHING but absolute necessities.
I understand some shut ins can not do this but very many of us can.

We have to see the logic of the killings as well as the killings themselves. The horror is a truth in itself. But it is also a sign of a political logic, one known from the totalitarian regimes of the twentieth century.

It is in no way “law enforcement” to beat up an American 10th grader and steal and sell his possessions.
This is 10th-grader Arnoldo Bazan.

A citizen.

Immigration agents grabbed him and put him in a chokehold.

"We're from the United States bro!' he screamed.

Agents took and sold his phone

And when he finally got home hours later, his shirt was ripped, he neck had angry, red welts, and he sobbed.
