Just a cat in a human suit. The death of print magazines put me on retirement. Sometimes I still get to write words.

"Aren't you, *the* Matthew Arcilla?" "I used to be."
I feel like it was only yesterday we were all like, "YEAH! cut it off go king" and now this?

I'm the weirdo in my friend group chat -- with zero media professionals -- who is like, excitedly reading out headlines like they are as amusing to them as they are to me.

Honestly, the shift to headlines that are 5 to 9 lines long -- optimized to make room for some of the most unhinged details of any particular story and sometimes just to shitpost -- is one of my favorite evolutions to occur at PC Gamer.

The spoilers I eventually got were self inflicted by going into spaces where they were unavoidable, but yeah I'm not surprised. I think people were so disappointed they chose to stop talking about it, like they did with HBO GOT. Huge fall off on spoiler discussion in the years since it ended.

If you've played any adventure game then you should know by now that firearms are mostly useless and will generally have no bullets, misfire or be made of plastic and used as a bluff against the antagonist. Mind you, this only applies to guns in your possession. All the other NPCs have real guns.
