And what happens when Housing Associations claim that they are not bound by the 2010 Equalities Act?

As some are already doing?

The Strouds are overt CNats who have been peddling 'evangelical' redemption for just as long

Whilst funding the CSJ and other 'missionary' work

Then there has been the Evangelical IEA, born of Fisher and his family.....

"a thoughtful piece"

That manages to overlook the Donut Smith and his cohorts at the CSJ, the Strouds

The Donut has been touting himself as a putative christian for years although it is doubful whether JC would join his cult

All academic research into workfare/sanctions and such schemes show them to be deeply flawed and the premises on which they are based, equally flawed

Nobody gains except the 'consultants' who promote the schemes, and use them to cream money off from our Social Security

The DWP know this too

Employers get a subsidised temp workforce, and drive down wages...as predicted in the briefing paper prepared for Thatcher's Cabinet

The Treasury and DWP know this

The original concept of workfare from MDRC, funded by the Ford Foundation

Who based the concept on breaking rocks for the parish (or county)

So back to the Poor Laws via MDRC, IEA and Policy Exchange

It's about massaging the figures and pandering to the prejudices of the tabloids with a rehashed YTS...

Privatised "providers"; 'hospitality' or 'building'

Not many skills in either after six months

Work affected by Brexit

The original concept from Reagan's attacks on US (CA) Social Security

Choice?

"There is an expectation that young people will take up the opportunities they are offered, and sanctions to benefits could be applied for those who don’t engage with the offered support without good reason."

Slave or starve is not a choice

We certainly can "agree to disagree"

Especially since, if the 'Same goes for other trades' means that you would want to get in a plane where the pilot is part trained...you would b happy with a partly trained Plumber....Engineer....Sparks....Brickie...Doctor.......Dentist......Nurse.. Brief..👍😀

"Under the scheme, 18 to 21-year-olds ..will be offered six-month paid work placements"

A trade cannot be 'learnt' in six months. The option is for 'forced labour' or sanctions.

Or "YTS redivivus"

More 'Corporate Welfare' ?
