The Strouds are overt CNats who have been peddling 'evangelical' redemption for just as long

Whilst funding the CSJ and other 'missionary' work

Then there has been the Evangelical IEA, born of Fisher and his family.....

"a thoughtful piece"

That manages to overlook the Donut Smith and his cohorts at the CSJ, the Strouds

The Donut has been touting himself as a putative christian for years although it is doubful whether JC would join his cult

The original concept of workfare from MDRC, funded by the Ford Foundation

Who based the concept on breaking rocks for the parish (or county)

So back to the Poor Laws via MDRC, IEA and Policy Exchange

"Under the scheme, 18 to 21-year-olds ..will be offered six-month paid work placements"

A trade cannot be 'learnt' in six months. The option is for 'forced labour' or sanctions.

Or "YTS redivivus"

More 'Corporate Welfare' ?

"Each of these decisions came out of a context of political conflict, in which the authorities sought to ‘strengthen’ the operation of the jury system in the interests of ‘the better administration of justice’."

Sometimes, it's easy to forget why governments (of all hues) have an antipathy to juries.....

It has been known for jurors to return verdicts that do not suit the political whims of the day

And, as EP Thompson reminds us

"The numbers who commit benefit fraud are tiny!"

And many of them appear to be 'working' for the privatised WCA assessors....

Defrauding people who require Social Security of their much needed help

Or private contractors running US inspired 'workfare' schemes milching our Social Security fund

What was it that was said just before the election?

"Starmer's background in human rights meant he was also determined to defend Britain's membership of the European Convention on Human Rights."

Somehow, this 2024 stricture from 'Labour' Together appears to have been forgotten (or 'overlooked')

Who's peddling ID cards to the PM?

"Larry Ellison’s £257m bet on Tony Blair
A former PM, Trump's 'CEO of everything' and NHS data"

What does he want?

It's not an issue in anyone's 'politics', anywhere

Unless they are trying to distract from their own failings.....are attempting to stir up hatred/trouble.....to distract from their own failiures/ maladministration

Are employed by/own a failing media outlet and are desperate to gain clicks...

"I went to a secondary school.. a Federal Government girls’ school in a place called Sagamu... It’s a federal boarding school. And it was a dormitory with about 150 (girls), I think, 20 to 30 in a room. And there were, you know, six rooms"

Didn't Badenoch once claim that she went to an all-girls school?
"she praises herself as a 14 year old who reported a BOY cheating... 14 should place her right inside FGGC Shagamu unless .. she started secondary school late. A boy cannot be attending FGGC Shagamu"

Parliamentary Omission

A puffed-up minister sat
Before the self-
Important Committee
Satisfied that
Their malfeasance would go
Unremarked, because
The chair, resplendent
In their robes
Had not a clue
Which questions
They should be asking
To reveal the truth.
