As the ghost works up the courage, Their form takes better shape. Whispers from the bottom of the Steps haunt mv nerves and Suffocate mv mind. I'm tired. The Ghost has a face now, pus and Scabs dissipating as I sift through My life with you. Relieved when You were gone but begging for Your intimacy in your presence. Would love have harmed you? Would love for me leave less for Yourself? I search for the memories And come up empty, almost exactly Like you. The ghost is clear as day, Now nearly a mirror. Our Basement hushes as we descend.

NOVEMBER 12 I made it home safe. Fishnets torn to threads. A dark vignette framed my vision as it faded in and out. I remember nothing, least of all who I was just hours before. If I’d been— If I’d seen— If I’d known— I made it home safe. Black clothes and liner swim in chemical bile as I sleep. I was made for this reason. For ripped tights and guilty slumber. This petite form was never meant to stand a chance. But I made it home safe. #poetry

🕯 a spell for different 🕯
A SPELL FOR DIFFERENT Light the bottom until you expose the wick, then rest the base in its melted pool. “Collective” carved in the middle, a dark tower amid fresh lavender, basil, calendula. With a blaze on top. As the pitch creeps, it melds the herbs as one. Catching the flame’s spread in its new formation. Let it cool before naming it. #poetry
