After the shooting in Parkland, Florida lawmakers took action to keep guns out of the hands of teenagers. But this week, gun extremists in the Florida House pulled the state backward on gun safety, passing a bill to lower the age to buy guns back down to 18.

A 7-year-old-boy was unintentionally shot and critically wounded by a 9-year-old child this weekend inside a home in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Authorities said the two children were playing with an unsecured gun when it fired.

Tragedies like these are preventable with secure gun storage.
