At the open mic night in nearby Clyde, Ohio. Met some fellow performers on the schedule and the people putting it on. Very cool to do more things hybrid or offline. Remote and online stuff has it's place. But after spending years online and remote. Good to touch some grass imo.

Walked around the block in this snow storm and frigid temps. Wasn't too bad in layers. Been following the news, too. I just hope a lot of our systematic issues get better quick.

Thinking of trying to get some workshops, webinars, community meetings. Maybe also organize town halls, forums, debates, etc. Write opinion pieces for papers/online papers. And get interviews for outreach/awareness/advocacy for well checked and balanced semi-direct democracy.

Throwback to 2015 and 2016 when I billed at shows at Frankies in Toledo. My solo act was billed as "Third Thought" (or "Every Third Thought"). Both shows I didn't sleep at all the night before. My dad had to give me a ride. And got rides back with friends who attended.

In the 2010s, I used backing tracks at gigs I was booked on the bill. Then they asked me to come back with a band. So around 2018 I started to live stream shows from home. Last year started using live midi at open mics. Maybe can loop the rhythm parts to do leads over them?

2016 was an interesting year for me. I met Megadeth co-founder and long time bassist, David Ellefson. And I met then U.S. Senator Al Franken. Both with Minnesota roots. But met them in my Ohio small town. So wild that within a few years, both became disgraced.

At 16-Bit Bar+Arcade in Dublin, Ohio (suburb of Columbus) visiting family. Very cool place. Free 16 bit video games and arcades. Seeing words like gnarly and radical (non political) very cool.

Just to get out of the house during the week. And possibly meet new people. Either will multi camera angle and direct audio line live stream. Or just attend this event. I have worked with this speaker before. So pretty sure he is cool with it. Glad it's history and not politics.

Trying to catch some daylight. And not needing cleats to walk outside if slick. This wardrobe keeping me warm. But by February and March will probably walk indoors cuz sick of the cold

Tho tbh, I'm not expecting a lot of people to show up. To a planned in person telescope star party having tonight. My buddy's place is about 30 minutes out in the country. And it will be cold. But pleased that the forecast is looking better. Music production rig as a backup
