Love y'all! Astrophotography. Music. Walking/exercising. Cooking. Content creation. Universal semi-direct democracy. Good labor unions. Tax religious groups fairly. And encourage pick up sports games
While this may be the coldest and snowiest/most icy winter since the 2014 and 2015 winters. I am hyped cuz saw starting next winter, will be a few years of El Niño winters. Which means more mild and warm winters. And this February and March may have some warmer weeks.

Walked around the block in this snow storm and frigid temps. Wasn't too bad in layers. Been following the news, too. I just hope a lot of our systematic issues get better quick.

I could be wrong. But I think if Minnesota wants ICE out of the state. They need to do a longer and bigger general strike. Same for the rest of the country.

If I remember correctly. Last week it was 60 degrees F. Today it's going to be -6 and even colder with the wind chill. Tho not as bad as the 2014 and 2015 Winters. If I remember correctly, there were no warm periods during those Winters.

A friend just texted me asking me to visit him where he works at a coffee shop today. But it is so cold haha. For sure a raincheck (or snow check/ice check/frigid check). Remote and hybrid ways of meeting/communicating goes a long way in bad weather for sure.

When the weather gets better probably in 2-3 weeks. Might play at a college friend's open mic a few towns away. Tho I may not post videos of it online. Because don't want AI stealing the content.

Some bugs survive in the Winter

Keep on forgetting. When it gets warm in the Spring, Summer and Fall. Usually gotta cut the grass at least once a week. Winter may be cold. But no yard work is nice. Big factor why I want to rent if I move out again.

If we are stuck with JD Vance and Gavin Newsom as the 2028 major party nominees. Really hope Jesse Ventura runs for governor of Minnesota again this year. Wins. And if he wants too, runs in 2028. Tho want a general strike/national ballot measures

Today, got breakfast with a friend. Last week got lunch with another friend, @atilano.bsky.social . Weather has been bad and will get worse in the next couple of weeks. So preparing to stay home a lot more. Tho also do video calls with @lynrajahmusician.bsky.social . January almost over, too.

Last couple of weeks it was Venezuela. Then Iran. Then Greenland. Seems to be distracting from something. So we don't risk hiring another untreated lunatic every 4 years. I think if we also had national ballot measures and recalls. Would help restore our place in the world. And help domestically

Not saying it was a perfect era. But so glad I grew a 90s Nickelodeon kid. And not an 00s Disney kid. I remember the Animaniacs making fun of the Disney Channel. Also remember a lot of Looney Tunes and the 3 Stooges. Yes Disney animation had a renaissance in the 90s. But Nick

Thinking of trying to get some workshops, webinars, community meetings. Maybe also organize town halls, forums, debates, etc. Write opinion pieces for papers/online papers. And get interviews for outreach/awareness/advocacy for well checked and balanced semi-direct democracy.

I was talking to someone last night. How my strategy of asking big names to shout out or otherwise promote universal semi-direct democracy didn't work since 2020. They said well most people don't know what it is. But how to get people to know what it is?

Throwback to 2015 and 2016 when I billed at shows at Frankies in Toledo. My solo act was billed as "Third Thought" (or "Every Third Thought"). Both shows I didn't sleep at all the night before. My dad had to give me a ride. And got rides back with friends who attended.

We purposefully dismantled a robust national rail network and replaced it with forced car dependency.

Seeing high-quality European sleeper cabins for €55 highlights the freedom we lost to decades of social engineering and auto industry subsidization.
55€ for a MiniCabin from Wien to Rome is a great deal, so that's what I'm doing for the next 14 hours overnight 🚂🌙🇦🇹🇮🇹

I think if you have a tablet or laptop with a DAW. Guitar with a midi pick up. And a pedal to help loop the rhythm parts to do leads over. That may be a good compromise to the live music purists who are against backing tracks. But also cost effective. But that's just me. I live rural and poor.

In the 2010s, I used backing tracks at gigs I was booked on the bill. Then they asked me to come back with a band. So around 2018 I started to live stream shows from home. Last year started using live midi at open mics. Maybe can loop the rhythm parts to do leads over them?

2016 was an interesting year for me. I met Megadeth co-founder and long time bassist, David Ellefson. And I met then U.S. Senator Al Franken. Both with Minnesota roots. But met them in my Ohio small town. So wild that within a few years, both became disgraced.

I mean I got ideas on how to stay busy at home. But just thinking of the contrasts between Winter and the other seasons. Tho when there's heat waves in the Summer, swimming is one of the few safe things to do outside. But it's about to get really cold and snowy. Spring/Fall 4 win

Instead of hoping like Andy Beshear or AOC become POTUS in 2029. I would be more hyped if the longshoremen, freight rail workers or truckers go on strike. Problem with AOC is that she voted to break the 2022 freight rail strike. I honestly don't know a whole lot about Beshear either.

Hyped. If all goes well. May do volunteering with a nonprofit associated with Ellis Island Productionz . At the public library, will be showing the youth (or anyone else interested) the basics of videography. This will help me get out of the house more. Meet people, etc.
