Es fehlt noch dieser Punkt: Klimaschutz ist ein Problem kollektiven Handelns. D.h. mein einer Flug weniger ist deutlich ineffektiver als mein politisches Engagement für einen Klimaschutz mit starken Regeln. Die Regeln stellen sicher, dass wir gemeinsam das Klima schützen - dann bringt's auch was.

Sounds really cool! I thought at first of objects that I attach great personal value to, so that my life would be much worse without them, like the hiking backpack I've had vor 25 years or my copy of Hume's inquiry... but that seems to be a different issue.

Germans can attest that this is not in their own self-interest: The "party" lasted 12 years, many Germans lost their lives or homes, there was hunger and crisis after the end of the 3rd Reich, and we are still living with the guilt of having systematically murdered millions of fellow humans.
