Not been a great week so far but some good news this morning from my Australian publisher - there will be Chinese and Taiwanese editions of "How to Find a Rainbow". Wonderful that even a few years after publication (written during Covid for my daughters) it is finding new audiences.

In mentor training this week we focussed on refining the use of the lesson feedback prompts. We specifically focussed on what instructional coaching is, why we use it and how to adapt the prompts to ensure we are completing collaborative coaching rather than directive mentoring.

Mentors play the role of Critical Friend or More Knowledgeable Other" As part of the training they looked at NASBTT video and used it as stimulus for discussing coaching prompts to leading feedback. Mentors reported that the training was very useful: "That was a brilliant meeting, watching that video and discussing it was really helpful." "Thank you for the information and advice so I can support my student."
