Lovely book launch of Opera Aperta, the catalogue of the Holy See pavilion at the Venice Biennial.

Edited by Marina Otero, Tatiana Bilbao, MAIO, and Giovanna Zabotti, it includes a multivocal approach to the care, repair, and maintenance. Happy to find @shannonmattern.bsky.social on it’s pages.

En fin, it’s been a wonderful day 🩵

Past week was lucky enough to attend “Library Making as Practice” in Basel with Nick Thurston, Eva Weinmayr, Stefanie Bräuer, Lucie Kolb, et al.

It was a magical night, talking about pirate editions, archives, and how to make books and ideas collectively accessible. Here some of those moments.

Cats against cryptobros unite and take over.

“The cats curled up on the GPUs, blocking ventilation causing the cooling systems to shut down, forcing the facility to halt operations.”

📚🤭 that’s what I call and embodied publishing practice.

I’m thinking on the Paneuropean Picnic, and its political context “When the end finally came for the iron curtain, it was not bulldozers or hammers that struck one of the first decisive blows, but a picnic.”

Not sure if it fits on your list of references, but…
