literally eating the end of my not-frozen turkey soup as I read this 😂

This will read as sour grapes, but truly the Matthew effect is alive & well. One must wonder about the full nature of the entertainment, too. Meanwhile, scientist attention is being bought to this day by CZI, hopefully for good but so easily derailed by influence.

Happy #Caturday from Marrakech.

I think it derailed during the second Obama term. Enough of our country was (is) sufficiently racist to set this (waves hands around) in motion as a countermeasure. Let's hope that part grows up or out, finally. 🌈

Yes, why does the algorithm do that?

Why, yes, I'll have another piece of that spanakopita. I had tons of red shiso that volunteered this summer as well that I threw in with my fresh dill; you can't really taste it but *I* know they're there. 🍽️🌱
Local olive oil ftw. 😋

Very interesting, thanks for the explainer! Does amniotic mesoderm exist for a time in gastruloids? Might the actin cap be in these or cells fated to be adjacent as it zips up posterior body? Even if birds are also amniotes... their heads start as layered discs around end of notochord, not spheres!

Find the difference! (I was shocked.)

OK one more because irony is delicious - but couldn't quite-post. This was a second later as I was signing out. Have a good one.

It's pretty comic to see #Elsevier 's delusional pricing for reuse of one of my old articles, though (also available in less formatted text through one of those other licenses I chose way back when). I made up entries to see, at s100.copyright.com

I did the same today! Best WFH day in ages. (Bringing to lab tomorrow but made a muffin for myself, too 😋)

I made the dire mistake of pouring a little bowl of milk for my very adult cat, as I was drinking some and I know she likes it. The old lady was sick about eight times up and down the hall. My bad.

#climat

My natural sourdough starter game has started (3rd round, still needs work, but I'm learning). Next one will be o/n in fridge.

Wait until I show you the SCOBY I've let go to vinegar for lack of general interest in the product, me included. Less appetizing but they started from the same culture. 🍽️🧪

@vigimeteofrance.bsky.social quel dommage de ne pas privilégier ce plate-forme sur Xitter. En tout cas, vigilance et sécurité pour tous demain dans le sud-est du pays. #orages #alerte

Dutch 🧪 on movement for fun 🏃🏿. "[Wild] mice and some shrews, rats and frogs were seen to leave the wheel & enter it again within minutes in order to continue wheel running. This observation indicates that wheel running may well be intentional [&] a voluntary behaviour for feral animals in nature."

What, this one? Good riddance.

Many years after the pandemic fashion, I made mixed-grain bread with kombucha-based sourdough yeast for a chicken salad sandwich picnic during a long bike ride.

South of France: pretty still, but very very dry with fire alerts in my region every day. 🤷‍♀️
