There are also significant environmental impacts created by AI server farms. We should make use of this technology, but in a way that is sustainable and responsible. This can be done with coordinated and intentional way- but greed is getting in the way. We need guidelines/guard rails to support use.

All of this happened before my time. I don’t know any of the names of folks involved-but you’re welcome to go to the library and ask them what they can help you find via old newspapers on microfiche. Doing this research for you is sadly not at the top of my priority list at this time. Best of luck!

Your child’s teacher is regularly assessing your child and knows how they are performing in relation to the curriculum expectations and what their next steps are for helping them learn. Don’t wait for test results from a test done in May or June to start that conversation.

Grade 3 and 6 math and literacy EQAO testing results (whenever they are released) are examined at the school level, district-wide and province-wide (spoiler alert: kids living below the poverty line tend to do a lot worse than kids in wealthy neighborhoods).
