So…
The federal budget passed.
No election triggered.
Now we need to think about how we can support each other to get through the harder times ahead.
Times are already tough.

Saw this posted by @etfoeducators.bsky.social on IG. In Ontario we have junior kindergarten students as young as 3.5 years old. When I worked in daycare with this age group we had 16 children per class, with two educators.

-8 educational assistants
-4 psychologists
-4 teachers
-over 900 Chromebooks to replace broken and outdated tech

Waterloo Region has one of the highest rates of unsheltered homelessness in the country. 43% of unhoused residents live completely outside — compared to just 10% in Toronto.

Just finished session 2 of #EqualVoice Campaign School. We had the opportunity to hear from Waterloo MP Bardish Chagger and see her adorable Pandemic Pup Khushi (ਖੁਸ਼ੀ means “happiness” in Punjabi).

11yo won a gift basket in the raffle at the St. Stephen’s Church craft and bake sale yesterday. She gets the chocolate, but our orange tabby has claimed the basket.
