yeah I attended a free session once! It was interesting, but I think you get the most out of it when you have a good grasp of both languages to begin with. The lessons assume you're no longer struggling with parsing sentences; the focus is on how to convey the idea in English.

translating is a hobby for me, so I'm no pro or expert... but JVTA has open houses sometimes! I know it's not what you're looking for, but peeking into their free seminars is worth a shot.

translation is pretty niche to begin with. learning a language and translating into it are two totally different skills. I think you learn it as you develop your ability to read in the source language alongside your ability to write in the target language.

I'm attached to the characters, too... Their writing is full of life, I agree. FGO is very good at revealing personality through dialogue. Few games have mastered it.

Regardless of whether the game will end or not, I have no idea where I'll find the kind of community fgo has again...
