I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

Just stupid insanity.
U.S. greenhouse gas emissions increased by 2.4% last year amid a resurgence of coal power, according to estimates published Tuesday by the Rhodium Group, a research firm.
U.S. Emissions Jumped in 2025 as Coal Power Rebounded
The increase in planet-warming emissions came after two years of decline as demand for electricity has been surging.

MEET THE PLATYS, AN UPDATE. As 2025 ends there have been some big changes in our fish tank. First of all, there's a new tank! Now 20 gallons, the fish love the extra space and all the live plants they can now swim among. Janey is now our oldest Platy, and she's a mom.

Behind a house in California, where the average price for a one-bedroom rental is about $2,100 a month, about a dozen people are living in a cluster of sheds and storage units with no running water or power. Rent is about about $600 to $800 a month.
In L.A., $750 a Month to Live in a Backyard Storage Unit
A landlord crowded tenants into his house and yard without running water or power. One, determined to find an alternative, was up against the city’s housing crisis.

Thoughts on Rouge One after finishing Andor: The third act is still very good. It's why people like the movie. Well put together, well paced, just very enjoyable to watch. The whole cast does a great job, Diego Luna and Ben Mendelsohn especially stand out. (Good day to have SW takes I guess).

Donald Trump is trying to terminate Gateway Tunnel funding, the most important infrastructure project in New Jersey, and the country.

I’m for Gateway. Jack is for Trump.

This is completely insane and illegal. Example number 9,000,000,00
President Trump said on Wednesday that his administration had “terminated” a commuter rail tunnel under the Hudson River, one of the nation’s most critical infrastructure projects. It was not immediately clear what he meant and whether the project had already been stripped of federal funding.

all of the Supreme Court’s jurisprudence about executive power - all of it - can be replaced with a simple flow chart. is the president a Republican? if so it’s ok. if not, it’s presumptively not ok.

I can't think of anyone currently running for office more dangerous than Andrew Cuomo. Not just for NYC but for the nation, because unfortunately NYC disproportionately affects the rest of the states. Bad politicians elsewhere don't have the same structural power. NYC: Do not vote for this man.
