Yeah. And the potential emotional punch you could deliver with that character is enormous, if you switched viewpoints between them.

At minimum it’s an alias for a series of super spies, but there is also an issue with that series of increasingly improbable narrow escapes over the years. Those could be explained by a single dark thread: none of the Bonds have ever had “nine lives”! 007 is a super soldier program for the undead.

Yeah. Hard to believe anything could make that movie sadder, though.
I never would have thought that The Human Condition could become so topical for Americans to watch, either.
