What is the "better than a webcam"-camera that people use as a webcam these days?

Rediscovering an artist is nice.
Findout out your "most listened album" isn't one of their popular ones is... a bit weird.

But hey, does that mean they have more awesome music? 😱

(It's Mogwai. I'm thoroughly enjoying Mogwai right now.)

I think we can do better than generic lists, so I wrote about it

Sustainability is complicated sometimes.

When your options are to order either through amazon, or aliexpress... it feels like there are no good options?

Making an element interactive with a tabindex? Name it!

Don't name an element nested in it. This does not work. The name needs to be on the element that you can -focus-.

Hiding a house number in the back of my garden does not help identify my house from the front.

I think "chips" are a design mistake.

They're catch-all interactive component that can do anything while all looking alike. They make it very unclear for users what to expect. Lack of affordance is bad UX.
Chips are what you end up with when you don't decide.

Chips – Material Design 3
Chips help people enter information, make selections, filter content, or trigger actions. Four types of chips are: assist, filter, input, and suggestion.

Developers can answer 9 out of 10 questions with "it depends".

Accessibility-people have their own version: "but people are creative"
For example: Does this WCAG SC apply?
- Probably not, but people are creative.

Because my goodness, people can be so creative.

"I'm going to read books again"-book #1 done.

I read the first book of Percy Jackson. It was nice to read again, but it was a bit -too- light. Like a middle school version of "American Gods".

What should I read next?

My second desk holds my A3 printer, and both a flatbed and film scanner. Like most of my photography stuff, they're mostly catching dust.

I think I'll move them today. Give my 3D printer and pen plotter (also catching dust) more space. Any reason I shouldn't?

How useful AI is for generating alt-text?

To all the people cleaning up:

It might be the most underappreciated task. People only see the things you miss, not the things you do.

Thanks for cleaning up. Thanks for leaving things in a better state. Your efforts make things possible.

I'm writing a roundup of disability(/accessibility) numbers and statistics. What source -must- be included?

(I came up with a funny title, so now I feel like I have to write it)
