Even if the Phillies were to land Garrett Crochet prior to the start of the 2025 season, they will likely have to wait out the free agent market before the White Sox are willing to deal their young star pitcher.

But man, Zack Wheeler has been so good since joining the Phillies. He needs to get his soon. Just one of the most consistent pitchers in the game over the past few years.

Interesting points made here. Given the change in the starting pitching landscape, voters will have to figure which metrics are most valuable for HOF induction.
As we consider the Cy Young ballot tonight, consider this, too: Zack Wheeler, who has 103 wins, might just be what a Hall of Fame starting pitcher looks like now -- no matter if that's not what Bob Gibson or Walter Johnson looked like.
