The things you repeat in your life become your truth, for better or for worse. Becoming more intentional about your thoughts, habits, routines, and personal development matters.

A gorgeous hike up Slide Mountain, the tallest peak in the Catskills this past weekend. Combined with hiking the highest in NYS, Mount Marcy up in the ADKs a few weeks back, it has been a great summer.

Fascinating and unfortunately not surprising.
🎧 Zoom bias is real.

New research shows that tinny-sounding audio in video calls makes you seem less intelligent, credible, hireable, and dateable – even when you say the same thing.

Having a network of trusted friends and advisors in your life is powerful. Not just people who boost you up, but who you can trust to provide honest feedback and critique. It’s even better when it is a reciprocal partnership. Keep building your community and expanding your horizons.

Captured Orion, Mars, and Jupiter on a beautiful clear night yesterday. Orion is a touch stone constellation for me. He and I hang out in the winter while I’m grilling outside. Tracking his movement across the sky lets me know that spring will soon be here!

Engineers with design sense, project management skills and an ability to clearly communicate will become increasingly valuable.
Had 3 LinkedIn posts in my feed this morning on the rise of product engineering (+ one I wrote). This is a good thing.

As I've said before, at the very least, GenAI coding assistants are throwing a spotlight on the value developers bring and what they actually do

Using AI as a learning partner for code is amazing. You not only learn a lot from its suggestions, but also from taking the time to understand why it is wrong and needs to be refactored. 🧐
