Conference 2025 was a pivotal moment of the year for our union. Our branch had 7 members there representing us and the NW motion passed unanimously.

At Conference our Branch received no less that 3 Honorary Life Memberships within our ranks! The campaigning done by our members up in the NW cannot be underestimated and 3 of them were recognised nationally with Equity's highest award. Congrats to Julie, Natalie and Chris! 💜💜💜

The North West Drag Network has gone from strength to strength this year with more Kings, Queens, Swings & Things signing up to join than we could have dreamt of! The Village has been an area we've focussed on in particular & we've seen a clear change in attitude from some venues. #StrongerTogether

We ran 2 Audition Days in 2025 with the Martin Gibbons Casting & The Royal Exchange. We like giving our members a chance to meet people they might not normally have access to! Similarly it's great for the casting teams to meet actors that they may not ever come across through their normal channels.

Guest Speakers are important to us, they should reflect the industry and those who work within it. They should also represent all areas of the industry that @equityuk.bsky.social covers.
Most Speakers only come once but Equity's big cheese, Paul W Fleming, loves us so much he came twice in 2025!
